I can't really give a firm reason why Snormar talks in slightly archaic language, relative to the other characters. I guess that's just the way he is. Maybe that's the way everyone talks in his homeland (wherever that is), or maybe it's just a personal quirk. I haven't really explored Snormar's backstory. Perhaps someday I will.
