Comic strip for September 14 2023.
PANEL ONE: The adventurer faces Erlak ADVENTURER: Look, I don't have anything against corn chowder, but don't I get anything else out of this? ERLAK: Oh, sure, I'll give you something else if you want. PANEL TWO: Different view of the conversation. The adventurer holds the bowl of soup Erlak gave him. ADVENTURER: So what do I get? ERLAK: Anything. PANEL THREE: Different angle ADVENTURER: Anything? ERLAK: Any flavor at all. PANEL FOUR: The adventurer stares at the grinning Erlak in silence. PANEL FIVE: The conversation continues. ADVENTURER: I was actually thinking of something other than soup. ERLAK: Oh... okay, I guess that's doable too.

On the one hand, I still have found those missing strips from October. On the other hand, I really haven't had time to look for them. Well, like I said before, I do have the bitmap image files, so as a worst case scenario I can use those for now, but I hope it doesn't come to that. I've still got more than two weeks to find them, anyway.

One thing I really do have to do in the next week, though, is get the site's code working so it reads these commentaries (and a few other things) from a database, because the kludgy way I've hard-coded it in the meantime, besides being kind of inconvenient, is only going to keep working for another six days. (There are ways I could modify it to keep working longer, but I ought to just get the database code done.)
