Comic strip for January 15 2024.
PANEL ONE: Drv'dxx the demon bartender watches as Nizini walks into the Dive Divine. DRV'DXX: Nizini! I don't see you in here very often. NIZINI: Yeah, well, usually I have better things to do than hang out in a bar. PANEL TWO: Side view of Drv'dxx. DRV'DXX: Yes, I can imagine. As goddess of sincerity, you have limitless opportunities... you can bring painful truths into the open... force feelings to be made known that would better stay hidden... compel people to face secrets that will utterly destroy them... PANEL THREE: Close on Drv'dxx. DRV'DXX: Sincerity is, indeed, one of the deadliest of weapons. PANEL FOUR: Nizini faces Drv'dxx across the bar. NIZINI: You know, Drv'dxx, you're a big part of the REASON I don't come here more often. DRV'DXX: Well, as long as I've made just one god's day a little darker.

Well, heck. So you know how I said I was going to be sure to get the next week's worth of strips up before the end of this week? Well, I absolutely did not do that! But! I did at least get today's strip up on time (albeit barely). I'll try to get the rest of the week's strips up tonight.

Anyway, I think this marks the first time Nizini's name has been stated in full in the comic, since she's usually shown with Erlak, and he usually just calls her "Zeen". So I guess this is a good time to remark upon something I'd been meaning to remark upon, namely... yeah, I know Nizini's and Nezhoni's names are way too similar, and I'm not sure how that didn't occur to me when I initially named them. This is another of those things I'd do differently if I were restarting the comic from scratch, but I don't want to make any drastic changes from the original strips. Still, though, if I were willing to make significant retcons, yeah, changing either Nizini's or Nezhoni's name so they weren't so close would be one of the top candidates for things to retcon.
